Automatic Beam Centering for the Laser Cutting Machines

Traditional method of laser centering. The method involves the operator pasting a cello tape over the nozzle head and then pressing the fire button, this results in a pattern on the cello tape that the operator reads with a lens. The diameter of the pattern is between 1 and 3 mm, and is so small that the human eye can easily read it, therefore, it leads to errors and makes this job quite tedious and difficult. Sometimes it can take hours to perform this operation.

The new approaching involves computer vision, in which a camera is used to monitor the position of the laser beam in real time and laser centering is done through motors.
Therefore, the work is very easy and without human interference. As a result, this method is much more accurate. The automatic laser beam centering system is developed by Dener’s R&D department and patented by Dener Makina, therefore, it is not available in any other fiber laser machine. (Optional).
